Product Testing
Interested in testing new Bornwear products before they’re released?
We value diversity and inclusion at Bornwear, we strive for products that recognize the range of individuals in our community. We work hard to include the community in our design process to ensure our products function as expected for individuals with different body types, skin tones, and other specific needs or disabilities we need to cater to. That’s why we value feedback from the community before releasing our products for sale.
Product testers are chosen at random, but if there is a gap in representation we will select testers that can help make our product testers as diverse of a group as possible. If you are selected, you will be notified via email. If you are selected and you follow through with the tester commitment outlined below, you might increase your chances of being a tester again in the future. The point of being a product tester is not for a free product, but to give feedback to help us improve our products. Products being tested may not be perfect, hence the need for testing. So if you are only hoping for a free product, check out our Ambassador Program instead.
If you weren’t selected for a current product being tested, you might still be selected for a future testing period so there is no need to fill out this form more than once. However, if you feel your responses to this form ever drastically change or there are new questions on this form that you feel are important or relevant to you, please feel free to fill it out again. If you ever lose access to the email you used to sign up, please fill out the form again with your new email address. If you fill this form out more than once, please let us know so we can remove your old response from our system.
Prodcut Tester Requirements
To be a product tester you must meet the following criteria:
You must be at least 18 years old.
You must live in the United States or a country we ship to, however if you are not in the US you must be willing to pay for shipping.
You must be trans masc, or identify as someone who would use our products.
You must commit to the testing process outline below.
Being a tester comes at no cost to you, which is why we originally required testers to live in the United States so that we can comfortably afford the shipping costs. Due to the large inquiry about being a tester outside the US, we have opened product testing to anyone who lives in a country we can ship to. However, because of the higher international shipping costs and import duties and fees, we ask that you help us by covering the extra shipping costs. Since we pay about $5USD for US testers’ shipping, we will cover the same for our international folks. So to be a product tester outside of the US, if selected, we ask you donate the remainder here on our site. If selected, we will let you know how much this is but it would likely be $20-30USD. Thank you for your understanding!
Our current products are designed for the trans masc community. But we are working on expanding to our trans fem siblings! So stay tuned for trans fem product testing in the future!
Eligible countries include: US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, UK/Ireland/Wales, Sweden, and Germany

Product Tester’s Commitment:
Communicate with us via email about your experiences with the product. This might include sharing personal experiences with our products, not in more detail than necessary but still of intimate nature.
Fill out surveys before and after testing the product.
Be honest, it’s okay if you don’t like something. You won’t hurt our feelings, that’s why we do product testing!
Be respectful and kind, remember we are here for you!
Bornwear’s Commitment:
Select a group of testers that best represents our diverse community.
Provide the product to be tested at no cost, as well as a product that is body-safe both externally and internally.
Communicate with testers, ensuring their feedback is acknowledged, valued, and to address any improvements that will be made based on any feedback.
Protect testers’ information, as well as everyone who signs-up to potentially be a tester.
