The Magic Skin packing band is designed for the ultimate level of comfort, discreteness, ease, affordability, realistic movements, and so much more that this would become a long sentence! This item does not include a packer, packers are sold separately. After you add Magic Skin to your cart, a pop-up will prompt you for your skin tone choice and waist size.
Like our prosthetics, Magic Skin is made from 100% medical grade silicone, so you can order the band in any of our 66 skin tone choices or you can select “photo match” to have it matched directly to a picture of you. This also means they are easy to wash just like our prosthetics, in a sink with soap and water. There is no need for multiple pairs as you don’t need to launder these like you would other fabric-based packing gear. You only need one Magic Skin!
They can be made to any size as they are made to order, just select your waist size in inches to add it to your cart! If your size is not one of the choices, please select “other” and send mac@bornwear.co (note .co and not .com) an email with your waist size and order number.

If you feel in between sizes, it is best to size up. Unlike typical elastic waistbands, the Magic Skin is meant to be a looser fit. So while the silicone can stretch quite a bit, it shouldn’t stretch to fit around your waist. This can cause it to pull at the buttons and potentially unbutton itself. If you wear a 30-32” pant size, you will want to order a 32” band. Magic Skin is true to size so if you order a 32” band, it will be 32” in its actual length. If you are unsure of your pant size, measure yourself like it shows in our pictured sizing guide.
Hips are often larger than a waistline, and you might not wear the band at your waistline but likely just below it and above the largest part of your hips, so it is good to note that the ends of the band do not touch. They button on the sides of the packer’s tab and therefore have about 2” of space between the ends. This 2” difference is usually why selecting your typical pant size (waist size) fits best as it gives some extra length to fit below your waistline. So please also take into account this 2” space when measuring yourself, do not have the ends of the measuring tape touch.
Tips for measuring yourself:
Put one end of the measuring tape where one side of the packer’s tab would be, wrap the measuring tape around just below your waist (not at the widest part of your hips), and then meet the other end of the tape measure to where the other side of the packer’s tab would be with the 2 inches of space between. This is visualized in the sizing guide photo.
If you want your skin tone to be a custom made tone matched to a photo of yourself, please select “photo match” as the skin tone choice when prompted. This choice is the very last option in the skin tone question’s drop-down menu. If you select this option, please email mac@bornwear.co (note .co and not .com) with photo(s) of your inner thigh and/or inner arm. Please include your order number in the subject line of your email. If you do not send your photos within 2 weeks of placing your order, your order will be at risk of getting cancelled and refunded. Mac will email you back that he has received your photos within 3-4 business days. If you do not hear back from him within that time, please reach out again to ensure we have received your photos.
Magic Skin is only compatible with Bornwear’s packers, an optional compatibility button add-on for packers made starting in July 2025 as the packer buttons onto the band. It is not currently compatible with our pack & play, the Stede.
